This video is part of a series about climate change supported by Breakthrough Energy - a coalition founded by Bill Gates, that is working to expand clean-energy investment and support the innovations that will lead the world to net-zero carbon emissions.

Climate Change is just too much. There is never any good news. Only graphs that get more and more red and angry. Almost every year breaks some horrible record, from the harshest heat waves to the most rapid Glacier melt. It’s endless and relentless.
We have known for decades that rapid Climate Change is being caused by the release of Greenhouse Gases. But instead of reducing them, in 2019 the world was emitting 50% more CO2 than in the year 2000. And emissions are still rising. Why is that? Why is it so hard to just stop emitting these gases?

It will finally not matter what race, religion or socioeconomic background you have. You will all die together. The earth will finally be rid of its disease and begin to heal. All will be well again.

The largest factor I see is getting the world to act in unison on a plan to reduce emissions. For example, France and Sweden, or even all of Europe, can rely on nuclear power and renewables all they want; but if China and India are still burning fossil fuels it won't make much of a difference. Most of the world is currently trying to develop and mature their economies, which will rely heavily on fossil fuels. With no real world governing body to enforce standards against pollution, many countries will simply take the cheaper option of not caring for the environment. As the video points out, no leader is going to tank their economy to potentially stop rapid climate change. It's a true prisoner's dilemma.

    • Glenn M

      Glenn M

      2 dögum síðan

@Jellyfesh I didn't mean force them. There has to be a global plan to help developing countries meet their energy needs through nuclear power or renewable energy. Also a plan to enforce standards in developed countries. This won't happen though because it would require way too much global cooperation.

    Salvation:-
Confess and repent of all your sins in prayer
Forgive those who have harmed you (this will free you from anger) as Jesus forgave you
Believe Jesus died to blot out your sins and that He is your Saviour
Believe He rose again 3 days later in the flesh by God's hand
Be baptised fully immersed in water and be baptised in the Holy Spirit
    Repent daily
By grace you are saved through Faith (belief)
    Live pure and stop sinning
    Follow the spiritual laws:
Love you neighbour as yourself and love God with all your heart, soul and mind. Believe Jesus is Lord.

Its not complicated, we just need to kill half the population! An ideal population for the entire world is 2 billion. Right now we are at 7.7 billion. Thats 5.5 billion driving cars, riping up forests, drinking the fresh water, eating and wasting food, using all the minerials and ores and reclaiming animal land for our own.
If you rate countries on emissions then China is number one with America no 2. The 3rd, if it where a country would be food waste, then beef and cattle farming.

    • Jake McKillop

      Jake McKillop

      Degi Síðan síðan

Btw, this wouldn’t work at all. First off if you were to just kill half of all humans ont he planet you would do way more harm then good. First off there are things called supply chains in which countries send supplies to other countries that need them, by killing half the population those supply chains would be broken forcing countries to revert back to growing there own foods and being at the whims of nature (so if its winter in North America, they can’t grow crops or have those crops imported. Secondly, the power grid and other things would be thrown into disarray so you could throw humanity into a temporary dark age. Also, thats only a temporary solution to the problem, humans need to find a way to switch to renewable recourses and find actual solutions to the problems we face.

If you did, you'd get rid of your phone, computer, electronic gadgets, electrical appliances, car, get off the grid altogether and start planting trees. Climate change is a massively over exaggerated issue when there are much bigger problems facing the earth like the massive amounts of ocean pollution and over fishing as well as deforestation. The world was literally cooler right now than it was 1000 years ago. It’s alarmist bullshit made to give governments and institutions more power and influence.

And most of the animal species lived in our oceans at the time so more than 90% of the worlds animals ended up dying there. . That being said , i agree that it won't end the world. If you think about it from biological point of view it’s actually very interesting. If you think of earth as a living body and we are a virus it is basically trying to wipe us out by raising its temperature like when we have a fever. If you think of infectious diseases as antibodies then the earth creates the plague, the flu, Corona to systematically wipe is out. In the end we might be resilient by adapting but will be killing the host(earth) and like any other virus will need a new host(planet) to infect unless we learn to have a symbiotic relationship with earth.

How many people are aware that because of videos like this, a bunch of unelected "rulers" have decided to spray poison in the air and block the sun in order to reduce "global warming"?
If you want to help the Earth - Change the "consumer society" into something efficient, producing what is REQUIRED and not over-producing and wasting..... If you want to help Earth - IMMIDIATELY stop the deforestation of the AMAZON FOREST, one of the main LUNGS of our Earth. Make the toughest penalties for those who dare to damage Earth's lungs.
Now that would be something meaningful for those who REALLY are concern with Earth and its natural environment.

Global warming is a grave misunderstanding, because sooner or later you may as well call it "global cooling". This is because natural variation is ten times more than the currently observed warming.
There have been many periods of both warming and cooling during the last thousands of years. Please, carefully study the references below. Similar observations have been made all around the world.

@Bluesbr0ther I don’t fully agree with him but he is definitely right it comes to science and politics mingling together. Republicans can’t give up doubting global warming no matter how much they believe it because if they do then they will lose a big portion of their conservative vote, and believing fully into global warming won’t capture liberal votes either because liberals want other opposing things that don’t align with republican views. Democrats can’t give up on gun control or they lose their votes. With every mass shooting Democrats would be smiling knowing that they just gained a couple more votes from that shooting so they don’t care if people died. Republicans can’t fully agree with mask policies despite their strong belief in it because they don’t want to lose the anti maskers vote. With every covid death that the patient has another health issue, they chuckle as they can now shift the covid blame on other health issues. Scientists are pressured by politicians through findings on top of that to skew research one way or another. We fucked either way
