Good vid, but the whole 'live vs dead universe' thing is very western thinking, and annoying w as much as you use it. There is no such thing as magic. Emergence is a synergistic phenomena based on the fundamental laws of the universe. Everything auto-arranges; no getting underneath that. In that sense, everything is simultaneously 'alive' and 'dead'.
edit: yes I understand it was for the entropy angle, but even so, the above is still true.
